Maam Samba Trading & EU Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR)

EUDR

UDR Compliance at Maam Samba Trading

At Maam Samba Trading, we are committed to supplying premium Robusta and Arabica coffee from Africa and Indonesia while ensuring our practices meet the highest international standards.

As part of this commitment, we are aligning our operations with the EU Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EU Regulation 2023/1115 – EUDR), which directly includes coffee as a regulated commodity.
Deforestation-Free Coffee:
All coffee we supply to the EU is sourced from farms that have not been subject to deforestation or land degradation after 31 December 2020.
Traceability & Transparency:
We work closely with our origin partners in Cameroon, Uganda, Tanzania, and Indonesia (Sumatra) to collect geolocation data at the farm level, ensuring full traceability of every shipment.
Compliance & Due Diligence:
Under the EUDR, exporters must file due diligence statements proving that coffee is both deforestation-free and legally produced in the country of origin. Maam Samba Trading integrates these checks into our export process, safeguarding both compliance and buyer confidence.
Timeline:
The EUDR will apply to coffee exports starting 30 December 2025 for medium and large operators, and 30 June 2026 for SMEs. Maam Samba Trading is already preparing for full compliance ahead of schedule.

By embedding these standards into our sourcing and trading model, Maam Samba Trading not only ensures compliance with EU law but also demonstrates leadership in sustainable coffee trading, giving our partners peace of mind that every shipment meets both quality and sustainability benchmarks.
